What is a combi boiler?

A combi (combination) boiler is a compact, high-efficiency boiler that provides both heating and hot water directly from the boiler, without needing a separate water tank. It’s ideal for smaller homes with limited space.

A system boiler heats your central heating system and stores hot water in a separate cylinder, making it suitable for homes with higher hot water demands. It’s more efficient than traditional boilers as it doesn’t require a cold water tank.

Also known as a standard or conventional boiler, a regular boiler works with a separate hot water cylinder and cold water tank. It’s suitable for homes with existing traditional heating systems or high hot water demand.

The ErP (Energy-related Products) label is a European rating that shows the energy efficiency of boilers and heating products. Higher ratings (e.g., A or A+) indicate better energy efficiency, helping you save on energy bills.

A plume management kit redirects the steam or “plume” from your boiler flue to a different area, helping avoid visible steam near windows or doors. It’s especially useful for homes with restricted outdoor spaces.

A boiler filter helps protect your heating system by capturing sludge, rust, and other debris that can build up in the pipes. This helps improve efficiency and prolong the lifespan of your boiler.

A flue is a pipe or duct that safely expels waste gases from the boiler to the outside. It’s an essential component of any boiler system to ensure safe and efficient operation.
